Built using the latest in Microsoft .NET and Ajax technologies, the new high-speed Sportingbet website was launched in early 2010 and immediately saw an increase in sign-ups, usage and bets placed.

The website’s new personalisation features and functions (Blackbooks, Favourites, iForm, Messaging, Video and More) as well as it’s vastly increased performance, makes sportingbet.com.au the most punter-friendly internet wagering site on the market.

Developed as a key component of Sportingbet’s mobile strategy, the app features nearly all of the bet types, features and functions of the Sportingbet website. Users can sign up, fund, deposit, withdraw, place a range of bet types and access their favourites, blackbook runners and site mail, all via the app.

Stride approached the project with a view to ensuring that the Sportingbet’s clients would have as consistent an experience as possible across all mediums and have endeavoured to make the Sportingbet iPhone app the most feature rich betting app on the market. With even more features and functions on the agenda, Sportingbet punters can look forward to continued enhancements to the app in the future.

The new site enhances what is already the most feature-rich betting site on the market by offering faster page loading, a more user-friendly layout and a host of new punter friendly tools including:

• Status Bar – notifying the user of upcoming races, race results, their upcoming bets and a notification pop-up when they’ve been paid
• In race view – showing all bets (including jockey silks) on a particular race as it runs – providing a quick point of reference to the user
• Suggested bets – showing the user the suggested bets and payouts if they were to combine single bets into a multi or exotic bet

The Android app features all of the functionality available on Sportingbet iPhone and the sbet.mobi site and easily downloadable via the Sportingbet Australia website. Users can sign up, fund, deposit, withdraw, place a range of bet types and access their favourites, blackbook runners and site mail, all via the app.

With Android’s continued market growth amongst smart phone users, Sportingbet were keen to ensure that their development efforts were not concentrated just on iPhone users. Stride will continue to enhance and support the Android app in line with the development of the website and other mobile platforms.

Released in May 2011, Village Mobile provides a unique and exciting new medium for moviegoers who want to move to their seats faster and avoid queues. The website allows VCA customers to: search for movies or session times, view what’s starting soon at their local Village Cinema, book tickets and earn member reward points. Perhaps the most exciting feature of Village Mobile is that (In an Australian first) tickets are delivered straight to the phone via QR codes, allowing customers to simply scan their phone upon arrival to the cinema and head to their seats.

Stride Solutions continues to work on Village Mobile, with a phase 2 incorporating even more functions and features due for release in the coming months.

Sportingbet required a mobile solution that could be integrated seamlessly with existing systems, was highly secure, utilised elegant error handling and was built with a robust architecture that could incorporate future functionality and requirements.

In October 2009, sbet.mobi was launched to acclaim from internal stakeholders and Sportingbet clients. The mobile website provides a unique betting experience through which punters can login, place a range of sports and racing bets, deposit and withdraw funds and redeem promotional codes.

Stride is in the final stages of development of the Sportingbet iPhone App – to be released in early 2011.

Stride Solutions was given the responsibility of developing the V8Bet registration and betting portals, which were designed to provide as complete a betting experience to the user as possible.

V8Bet clients were able to register and place a full range of V8 related bets, as well as other racing and sports bets, via the portals. The success of the betting portals resulted in an increase in brand recognition and record signups for V8Bet.

Stride Solutions was given the responsibility of developing the Bet Van’s touch-screen registration and betting portals, which were designed to provide as complete a betting experience to the user as possible.

Unlike other touch-screen betting portals, the Bet-Van solution allows for a full range of betting activities including; new client registration, a full range of racing and sports betting options, account funding and account withdrawals.
